ChatGPT Plus vs HBO Max Premium
Both are worth splitting — but not equally. Here's how they stack up on seats, price and savings (prices shown in USD; open the savings calculator for your own country).
| Plan | Seats | Solo price | Per seat | Saved / year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT Plus | 5 | $20.00/mo | $4.60/mo | $184.80 |
| HBO Max Premium | 4 | $22.99/mo | $6.61/mo | $196.56 |
The short answer
ChatGPT Plus returns more per seat, so if you're only splitting one plan, start there.
Which should you split first?
- ChatGPT Plus — 5 seats, 77% off retail per seat.
- HBO Max Premium — 4 seats, 71% off retail per seat.
- Hosting either plan pays you back: your own seat is effectively free once the family fills.
What to watch out for
