VPN Black Friday Deals Are Already Live in 2026: Prices, End Dates, and the Math of Splitting One
Five of eight VPN Black Friday deals are already live, with Black Friday on Nov 27. Verified prices, sale end dates, and the per-person math of splitting one VPN subscription across a family.

The short version
Most VPN Black Friday deals do not wait for Black Friday. Five of the eight big providers are already selling at their 2026 sale prices, with Black Friday itself on Nov 27. Two are worth waiting for: NordVPN hits its lowest price on Nov 24, and ExpressVPN's sale has not started. All prices below are US, checked Nov 4, 2026. This guide is for anyone shopping for a VPN before Nov 27: it lists every live deal, the sale end dates the chatbots never give you, and the per-person math of splitting one subscription across a family.

What's live right now
The strange thing about VPN Black Friday sales is how early they start. Surfshark's has been running since Oct 12. By the time Nov 27 arrives, the only real question left is whether anything got cheaper in the meantime. Here is the full board, with sale status for each.
| VPN | Status | Deal price | Term | Sale ends |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Surfshark | Live | $2.49/mo ($67.23 upfront) | 27 months (24 + 3 free) | Dec 1 |
| IPVanish | Live | $2.19/mo ($52.56 upfront) | 24 months | Not announced |
| CyberGhost | Live | $2.19/mo ($56.94 upfront) | 26 months (24 + 2 free) | Not announced |
| Proton VPN | Live | 75% off the 24-month Plus plan | 24 months | Nov 30 |
| PureVPN | Live | $1.69/mo ($101.55 upfront) | 60 months | Not announced |
| Private Internet Access | Live (Halloween price) | $2.03/mo ($79 upfront) | 39 months (36 + 3 free) | True Black Friday deal not announced |
| NordVPN | Pre-sale | $3.49/mo Basic | 27 months (24 + 3 free) | Peak price lands Nov 24 |
| ExpressVPN | Not started | $2.99/mo pre-sale ($83.72 upfront) | 28 months (24 + 4 free) | Historically Thanksgiving week |
One detail worth noticing: Surfshark's middle tier, Surfshark One (VPN plus antivirus and breach alerts), costs exactly the same as the basic Starter plan during this sale. The antivirus effectively comes free.
Should you buy now or wait?
For five of the eight, the answer is buy now. Every live deal is already at or above what the same plan cost last Black Friday, which means waiting buys you nothing. Surfshark was $1.99 a month last year; this year it is $2.49. CyberGhost was $2.03 for 28 months; now it is $2.19 for 26 months. When a deal gets worse year over year, hoping it improves in the next three weeks is not a strategy. IPVanish is the only one holding last year's price exactly.
The two exceptions:
NordVPN: wait. Today's pre-sale is $3.49 a month on Basic. The announced peak window, Nov 24 to Dec 1, drops it to $2.99. That $0.50 a month is $13.50 over 27 months, for doing nothing but waiting 20 days.
ExpressVPN: wait. Its 2026 sale has not launched, and last year its lowest price landed in Thanksgiving week at $2.44 a month, against today's $2.99 pre-sale. If you are set on ExpressVPN, buying today means paying the pre-sale rate.
Why a VPN is the easiest subscription to split
Netflix makes you prove you live under the same roof. Spotify boots people off family plans. A VPN does the opposite: the product is sold by the device count, and the providers say in their own documentation that sharing is fine.
| VPN | Simultaneous devices | What the provider allows |
|---|---|---|
| Surfshark | Unlimited | Family sharing allowed |
| Private Internet Access | Unlimited | Household use |
| NordVPN | 10 | Sharing with trusted family or friends |
| ExpressVPN | 10 to 14, depending on tier | Household sharing |
| Proton VPN (paid) | 10 | Family and household use |
| CyberGhost | 7 | Friends or family |
Device limits and sharing terms above come from VPN guides that rechecked provider documentation in October 2026 (vpnexpertguide on Oct 10, vpnblade on Oct 27), linked in Sources. Two honest caveats. First, a shared VPN is one login, not separate seats: everyone signs in to the same account, so share it with people you trust and turn on two-factor authentication. Second, unlimited devices does not mean unlimited resale: every provider reserves the right to act against abuse, and commercial resale will get an account shut down. Proton also sells actual Duo and Family plans with separate accounts, if you want real separation instead of one shared login.
A VPN is the only subscription in your house that gets cheaper the more people use it. The providers wrote that into the product.
The splitting math
This is the part nobody runs. The deals above are all multi-year, so the per-person numbers get silly fast.
- Surfshark One, split four ways: $67.23 for 27 months becomes $16.81 per person. That is $0.62 a month each. A family of four, every phone and laptop and the living room TV, for less than a dollar a month per person.
- NordVPN Basic, split three ways: $94.23 for 27 months becomes $31.41 per person, inside its 10-device limit with room to spare.
- Private Internet Access, split four ways: $79 for 39 months becomes $19.75 per person, and PIA renews at the same $79 instead of jumping to a standard rate.
You already share the login with your brother and your roommate. What you do not have is the bill splitting itself: someone always pays the full $67.23 and spends three months chasing the rest. Famshare keeps the seat list visible so nobody freeloads, and sends payment reminders before payment day so nobody has to chase anyone. Browse open families to find people to share a VPN with, or list your spare seats if you are the one paying the full price.
What the chatbots get wrong about these deals
This morning I asked ChatGPT and Gemini the exact question this post answers, in fresh chats. The results are a warning about trusting bot prices.
Gemini quoted ExpressVPN at $7.49 a month. The verified pre-sale price today is $2.99. A reader who copies that number into a budget thinks ExpressVPN's sale is terrible and skips it; the truth is the sale has not even started.
Gemini priced NordVPN at $2.99 as if it were today's price. That is the price that goes live on Nov 24. Today's price is $3.49. Buy today expecting $2.99 and checkout will correct you.
Both bots skipped half the market. ChatGPT got the four main prices right but never mentioned CyberGhost, IPVanish, PIA, or PureVPN. Gemini skipped three of the four. Half the deals on the board above do not exist in either answer.
Neither bot gave a single sale end date. Surfshark's sale ends Dec 1. Proton's ends Nov 30. NordVPN's best price lands Nov 24. Those dates are the entire buy-now-or-wait decision, and both answers omit them.
The pattern: chatbots answer from review roundups and help pages, which are timeless. Deal calendars are not timeless, so they never make it into the answer. The gap between a timeless answer and a dated one is this page.
The fine print: renewals, coupons, one login
- No coupon code needed. None of the eight deals requires one. Stale coupon codes from aggregator sites can actually replace the automatic sale price with a smaller discount, so skip the code hunt.
- The promo rate is for the first term. After 27 months, Surfshark renews at the standard price shown at checkout. The one exception is PIA, which renews at the same $79 every three years.
- Refund windows cover the whole decision. Most offer 30-day money-back guarantees; CyberGhost gives 45 days, which covers the entire holiday period.
- Country note. Prices above are US. The same Surfshark deal is A$94.23 for 27 months in Australia, and checkout in your own currency may add a conversion spread on top.
FAQ
Are VPN Black Friday deals live right now? Five of them are: Surfshark, IPVanish, PureVPN, Proton VPN, and CyberGhost. NordVPN is on pre-sale with its lowest price coming Nov 24. ExpressVPN has not started its sale.
Will prices drop further on Nov 27? For the five live deals, there is no evidence of it: each is already at or above last year's price. For NordVPN and ExpressVPN, yes, waiting is the better play.
Do I need a coupon code? No. Every deal applies automatically at checkout.
Can I share one VPN subscription with my family? Yes, within the device limits: Surfshark and PIA allow unlimited devices, NordVPN allows 10, ExpressVPN 10 to 14, Proton 10, CyberGhost 7. Share the login only with people you trust, and use two-factor authentication.
Is a VPN subscription per person or per account? Per account, priced by simultaneous devices. That is exactly why the splitting math works.
What happens at renewal? The promotional rate ends with the first term and the subscription renews at the standard price, except PIA, which keeps the same $79 rate.

Share your plans the easy way with Famshare
A VPN is built to be shared; the billing is not. One person pays $67.23 upfront, three people get the login, and the payer spends two years being the bad guy who asks for money. Famshare fixes the unshared half: seats listed with names on them, group conversation in one place in the app, and payment reminders before payment day. The VPN itself always stays with the provider.
Browse open families to find co-subscribers in your country, or list your spare seats and let the app handle the asking.
