Subscription Sharing Sites Compared: Famshare vs Sharesub vs Spliiit vs GamsGo (2026)
Subscription sharing sites look alike but work very differently. We compared how Famshare, Sharesub, Spliiit and GamsGo work, what they charge, and what you are really getting.
Subscriptions keep getting more expensive, and sharing sites have grown with them. The idea is the same everywhere: someone has a plan with spare seats, and other people pay them a share to use those seats.
Look a little closer, though, and these sites work in very different ways. Some connect you with a real person who has a spare seat. Others sell access to accounts they run themselves. And the fees are usually tucked away in a help article.
Here's an honest look at Famshare, Sharesub, Spliiit and GamsGo, using each site's own published information as of October 2026.

The short version
Famshare People share their own plans. The plan is owned by a host in your country. Members pay nothing, and joining one family carries a 0% fee, with an optional Pro tier for joining multiple. Hosts also pay nothing, and hosting one family carries a 0% fee, with optional Pro for multiple. It works worldwide, with local prices and currencies.
Sharesub People share their own plans, and the owner holds the plan. Members pay 5% + €0.99 per payment (8% + $2.10 in Canada and Australia). Hosts pay no fee. The focus is mainly Europe.
Spliiit People share their own plans, and the owner holds the plan. Members pay 5% + €0.99 per month. Hosts pay a fee on public listings in the first month only, which is 25% with a maximum of €1. The focus is mainly France and Europe.
GamsGo Sells shared account access rather than connecting people who share their own plans. The platform owns the plan. The fee for members is built into the price, and a host fee doesn’t apply. It works worldwide.

Famshare
How it works: hosts list a plan they already pay for, how many seats are free, and what each seat costs. Prices are shown in your local currency. You ask to join, the host approves you, and you get your joining details in a private access card on the family page. Group conversation happens in the family's own chat inside the app.
What it costs: Famshare has a true free plan. You can host 1 family and join 1 family completely free. Members pay only the host's direct share price—Famshare doesn't take a cut from the host and doesn't tack transaction surcharges onto monthly member payments. For power users who want to host or join multiple families, there's an optional Famshare Pro upgrade, but everyday sharing costs nothing extra.
Good:
- Zero-fee sharing: Host 1 family and join 1 family on the free plan with no middleman tax on every payment.
- You can see exactly which seats are taken and which are free before you ask to join.
- Families are matched by country, so you join a plan from where you actually live.
- Everything stays in one place: requests, joining details, in-app chat and payment reminders.
- Available in 35 languages.
Less good:
- A real person has to approve you, so it isn't instant.

Sharesub
How it works: a French platform where owners share their subscriptions and Sharesub collects payments from members automatically, on the 1st of each month.
What it costs: sharing is free for owners. Members pay their share plus a processing fee of 5% + €0.99 per payment, already included in the price shown. In Canada and Australia the fee is 8% + $2.10.
So on a €4 seat, you'd pay about €5.19. On a small seat, that fee adds up fast.
Good: a big catalogue, and a refund promise if the access doesn't work.
Less good: the fixed part of the fee hurts on cheap seats, and the site is built mainly around Europe.
---
Spliiit
How it works: another French platform that sees itself as "carpooling for subscriptions."
What it costs: members pay 5% + €0.99 every month. Owners who list publicly pay a connection fee in the first month of each new member: 25% of that payment, capped at €1. Sharing privately is free. A paid Spliiit+ plan removes some of these fees.
Good: clear dashboard and a trust score for users.
Less good: a mostly French and European service, and the per-month fee adds up on cheaper seats.

GamsGo
How it works: GamsGo isn't the same kind of site. Spliiit's own 2026 comparison describes it as also running a marketplace for accounts and digital access. You're generally not joining one person's family plan. You're buying access from the platform.
What it costs: a single price, with no separate fees.
Good: quick to get started and often cheap.
Things to think about:
- You may be sharing a login with people you don't know.
- If the service flags the account, you may have to start over, along with your history and watchlists.
- Streaming services increasingly block accounts used in many homes, so access can be less stable.
---
So which one should you use?
- GamsGo if you only want quick, short-term access and don't mind sharing a login or starting over.
- Sharesub or Spliiit if you live in France or elsewhere in Europe and pay in euros.
- Famshare if you want to join a real person's family plan in your own country, pay zero transaction fees on your free plan, see every seat before you join, and keep the group conversation in one place.

### Whichever site you pick
Use plans that let you join with your own account (Spotify, YouTube, Microsoft 365, Apple and Nintendo all do). Never hand over your main password. And check the service's own rules. Our guide on which family plans allow sharing outside your household covers them.
